I bought a bucketload of books over the last week or so. There definitely appears to be something therapeutic in just the ‘buying’ process. No ?
I’ve started on this and i have a feeling that i’l like it enough to review it. With this, i have established that if i ever am asked something like “What kind of books do you like?” - i am going to say “biographies” without blinking. More soon.
Another interesting book i picked up, quite unplanned actually, is this. Few pages done. Lot of detail. But very interesting.
The other noteworthy book i picked up is Mary Roach’s Bonk – (which was interestingly in the ‘science’ shelf for some reason) I am sure you’ve all heard of Mary Roach – a little pushy, new-gen writer type – but lovely native writing talent.
And I think i am nursing a fairly strongish Mary Roach crush*
*sigh*
* Or the idea of Mary Roach, as some would say.
